How To Get Your Metabolism To Speed Up

It probably sounds to good to be true right?  Take a breath… There are foods that can actually speed up your metabolism!  Yep it’s true though and these foods are available at your local supermarket.  In fact,  chances are good that you might already be eating some of these cool foods.

Now, if you are trying to lose weight then a slow metabolism may be your worst enemy. But, if you can get your metabolism running at a high speed you’ll notice significant weight loss.  And fast too.

These ‘superfoods’ are great for speeding up your metabolic rate and help you achieve your weight loss goal. Some of the great metabolism boosting foods are seafood such as salmon, tuna and sardines.  They’re also a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids which help to lower the levels of leptin in your body.

If you don’t already know, Leptin is a hormone and it has been shown that if your leptin levels are low it is much easier to lose weight and keep it off.  Fish also have great heart health benefits and cancer fighting benefits.

Answer this question:”Once you actually decide that you’re going to try and slim down, what’s is your first choice gonna be to make this happen? Are you going to jump into the first fad diet you come across? If you do this don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t last. Often with one of these types of approaches you’ll lose a quick five to ten pounds, but, if you haven’t approached from the right point of view, the old eating habits come right back.

Also, if you find that you’re able to stick with it and actually accomplish your weight loss goal, you still might just find yourself back in the same boat, at the same weight, in 3-4 months.

If it happens to you, don’t feel bad. It happens to a lot of people. It’s hard to stick with a diet and lose weight. It calls for a lot of determination on your part. And, even if we feel we’re determined, we still run into problems.

Quinoa Oatmeal

The diet solution had a simple breakfast cereal recipe:

Serves 4

Ingredients

1 cup coconut milk

1 cup water

1 cup organic quinoa, ( rinse quinoa before cooking)

2 cups fresh blueberries

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
